Fried Potatoes With Crispy Coating

I have seen and eaten many versions of fried potatoes and each recipe has its own set of ingredients but the end results are more or less the same. We get yummy fried potatoes with addition of some spices and a bit of coating just like in this recipe. These potatoes are deep fried after coating with a spicy batter just to make your snack more crispy and attractive. Ingredients Required:

2 big potatoes (cut into thin slices)
1/2 cup graham flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
Water as required (or soda water)
Oil for deep frying

Cooking Instructions:

For making the fried potatoes crispy, its coating has to be prepared in the form of batter for which add and mix graham flour, cornflour, salt, baking soda and all the spices in a mixing bowl. To make batter of moderate consistency, add water gradually and make a smooth paste also making sure that batter does not become too thick otherwise your potatoes will not be crispy after they are fried. Now dip all the sliced ​​potatoes in the batter. Fry the dipped slices of potato in preheated oil for 4-5 minutes or take them out when they start turning golden brown in color. Your quick potato snack is ready to be served. Serve with tomato ketchup or whatever sauce you like.
